GLOUCESTER, Mass. - A Gloucester, Mass., woman who was allegedly drunk when she crashed her car into an SUV carrying Sandra Bullock is due in court. Neither the actress nor her husband, Jesse James, was hurt in the head-on accident Friday night. Police say 64-year-old Lucille Gatchell had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit in Massachusetts. Ms. Gatchell is scheduled for arraignment today in Gloucester District Court on a drunken driving charge. Ms. Bullock is in the Cape Ann area for the filming of the romantic comedy "The Proposal." Is that Miley Cyrus? NEW YORK - Is that Miley Cyrus flashing some skin? Less-than-wholesome photos of a girl bearing a close resemblance to the 15-year-old superstar are making the rounds on the Internet.
New task force working to reduce kidney disease in Missouri
Some Missourians may not give much thought to their kidneys - until they stop working - but a new task force in Missouri created with legislation signed by Gov. Matt Blunt is hoping to change that. One of the Missouri Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force's primary goals is to educate the public about the importance of healthy kidneys and the danger of chronic kidney disease, a potentially fatal condition that often goes undiagnosed until it reaches an advanced stage.According to the National Kidney Foundation, one in nine Americans has chronic kidney disease, but many may not know it."We all have a personal responsibility to improve our own health by adopting healthy lifestyle habits," Blunt said in a news release. "One of the reasons I have focused my health care initiatives on health and wellness is to emphasize the quality of life benefits that come from making healthy decisions.
Ron Paul is Still Running
For those who have access to computers, and for those Americans who are seekers of truth, go to www.infowars.com It is an eye-opener for those who are deceived by our controlled zionist mainstream media. We have 3 so-called Presidential choices in 2008. Truth is, Ron Paul is still running. But our mainstream, controlled media don't let the masses know it. Ron Paul is for freedom, of which we are losing. We have McCain who was a VietNam POW and a hero to many. He is owned by the New World Order elite. Remember the scandal "Keating 5" and when real American heroes who fought in 'Nam went to him and John Kerry about POW's left over there? Both Kerry and McCain shoved their cries under the carpet! Plus, McCain's votes while in office have a lot to say about him. We have Hillary Clinton, of the lying, scandalous Clinton Administration.
PAUL KRUGMAN: Health care horror stories abound
Not long ago, a young Ohio woman named Trina Bachtel, who was having health problems while pregnant, tried to get help at a local clinic. Unfortunately, she had previously sought care at the same clinic while uninsured and had a large unpaid balance. The clinic wouldn't see her again unless she paid $100 per visit - which she didn't have. Eventually, she sought care at a hospital 30 miles away. By then, however, it was too late. Both she and the baby died. You may think that this was an extreme case, but stories like this are common in America. Back in 2006, The Wall Street Journal told another such story: that of a young woman named Monique White, who failed to get regular care for lupus because she lacked insurance. Then, one night, "as skin lesions spread over her body and her stomach swelled, she couldn't sleep." .

Are we safe from germs?
We have the weapons for germ warfare at our disposal. Anti-bacterial products are everywhere. Hand soaps, household cleaners, even socks and countertops promise to kill the stuff we can't see and make our surroundings more sanitary. But do we really need to live in an anti-bacterial bubble? Even the experts disagree. Some say we're overdoing it. They say soap and water are adequate and fear that overuse of anti-bacterial products might harm us in the long run. Others scoff at that concern. They argue that anti-bacterial products can be beneficial and there's no proof of long-term consequences. That makes it tough for consumers to decide what's best for themselves and their families. But here's a bright spot: In talking with researchers and industry representatives about the issue, we did discover a couple of areas of consensus: • Washing your hands is the single most important thing you can do to fight the spread of illness.
DUSA Completes Enrollment For Phase IIb Trial Of Levulan(R) Photodynamic Therapy For Moderate To Severe Acne
DUSA Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(R) (NASDAQ GM:DUSA), is pleased to announce that the acne Phase IIb trial has achieved its goal of 260 participants, thus completing enrollment. The study's objective is to determine and compare the safety and efficacy of multiple broad area photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatments with Levulan® Kerastick® in combination with BLU-U® brand blue light versus use of the BLU-U alone in patients with moderate to severe facial acne vulgaris. This trial will evaluate the incremental advantage of adding Levulan to DUSA's already FDA-cleared BLU-U blue light therapy when treating acne. "Completion of enrollment is an important milestone as DUSA looks to achieve a moderate to severe acne indication for Levulan PDT. Once the initial results are available, which we expect this fall, DUSA will decide on the next steps needed to develop this indication for potential FDA approval," said Bob Doman, President and CEO of DUSA.
Secrets to a blemish-free, beautiful complexion
It's a cruel irony that more than half of adult women are battling breakouts at the same time they're coping with crow's-feet. The culprit is hormones, which ebb and flow throughout a woman's life rather than stabilize as they do in men. "As estrogen levels fluctuate — or, in the case of menopause, decrease — androgens, the hormones that stimulate oil glands, can lead to breakouts," says Jonette E. Keri, M.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Also to blame: stress, which raises hormone levels. One thing you needn't stress about is controlling the condition. New remedies make it easier to get the clear skin you've always wanted — and erase signs of aging in the bargain. Beat blemishes at home This skin care routine fights the main cause of acne: pores clogged by oil and cellular debris and inflammation from P.
Polygamist Clothing Has Roots in 19th Century and 1950s
For a society accustomed to the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, the images of the women from the polygamist compound in Texas are almost shocking in their understatement: Ankle-length dresses, makeup-less faces, hauntingly uniform hair. (Tony Gutierrez, Associated Press) .
