OUR ministers seem to grab at every new, silly idea when it comes to the power crisis. First we were told a loose bolt was the cause of Koeberg breaking down. Then we were informed that it was sabotage. Then the growth of the economy was blamed for the power shortage. Then we were told to go to bed early, to save electricity. Then everybody was told to cut back their consumption by 10 percent. Well, how exactly does one measure 10 percent? This “saving” could cost the mining sector millions in maintenance and billions in exports and unemployment. Next solution? A solar system for every house, at approximately R30000 to R70000. It would be subsidised if purchased from registered suppliers – owned of course by ANC members.
Bradenton Vet Has Sunscreen For Dogs
BRADENTON - A Bradenton veterinarian is launching the first pet sunscreen that is compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration standards. Michael C. Fleck plans to release Epi-Pet Sun Protector Spray later this month. The product, designed for dogs and horses, is one of several skin care products for pets that Fleck has developed and brought to market in the past two years. The sunscreen is not designed for cats, but Fleck is developing a feline-friendly sun protector. In addition to the Epi-Pet Sun Protector Spray, the Epi-Pet line includes a Cleansing Agent Shampoo, Multi-Functional Skin Enrichment Spray and an Electrolyte Replacement powder. All of the products, except for the sunscreen, may be used on dogs, cats or horses.
