| Start spring with beautiful legs and feet
Hamburg - Out of sight, out of mind: while our hands typically get washed and moisturized every day, care for our feet and legs tends to be an afterthought. This is especially true in the cold-weather months when thick socks and heavy shoes are the rule and keep the feet and legs well concealed. But once winter is over, the legs and feet look uncared for. Short skirts and open shoes expose the dry patches, bothersome cellulite and fungus skin. When these conditions occur, it's high time for a special beauty treatment to tackle the problem, and aesthetics is not the only reason to do. "Regular foot care also prevents many tough problems," said Mechthild Geismann of the German association of podiatrists and clinicians who offer foot care. Britta John of Germany's Beauty Alliance, an association of perfumeries, said foot care should occur on a weekly basis and it should include trimming the nails and cuticles, removal of calluses and an application of moisturizer.
Health: Clear Skin Solution
Medical Reporter Stephanie Stahl has details on the Clear Skin Solution; a growing trend that targets certain kinds of problems.Johari Smith tries hard to keep her skin healthy, and as a track coach she stays fit and takes care of herself but she still struggles with breakouts. "My skin is very unpredictable. Sometimes it's clear and sometimes I've got acne that I can't really control and it doesn't seem like anything that I put on it really works," said Johari. Now dermatologist have started to target ethnic skin types such as African Americans, Asians, Hispanics and those with a Mediterranean background, who have olive skin. "One size does not fit all, people are fundamentally the same but their skin is not," said Philadelphia dermatologist, Dr. Susan Taylor. She has created a line of skin care products, cleansers and moisturizers targeted for darker skin tones.

Consumer studies have shown that 84% of females aged 18 - 24 began using a facial moisturizer before they turned 18, which is a telling sign that young women today are very concerned with their skincare regimen(1). There are an abundance of facial skincare products for young consumers on the market today, but most address acne and problem skin, rather than offering a healthy daily regimen for normal skin. For those young consumers who do not suffer from acne, the skincare aisle at the drugstore can be daunting ... until now. CLEAN & CLEAR®, the number one skincare brand for young women, introduces SOFT, a moisturizing line of skincare products developed specifically to soften, purify and protect young skin. .
Stars join effort to protect skin from sun
At least two celebrities are shunning the sun for skin cancer awareness. Marcia Cross of "Desperate Housewives" is promoting the joint campaign between the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and beauty brand Olay for a free skin-cancer screening program, while Kristen Bell of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" has pledged to get her glow from a bottle. Bell signed on to the Glow in the Dark campaign on the Jergens.com Web site. For every similar pledge made by the public, Jergens -- known for its Natural Glow self-darkening skin products -- donates $1 to The Skin Care Foundation. "It's an oxymoron to say you've got a healthy tan," Bell, 27 says. "You want to glow." Even with the looks of a beach-loving starlet, Bell says she has pale Polish skin under her tinted moisturizer.
De-aging products help women remove years and icky spots from faces
During sleep, skin is supposedly at its most receptive to regeneration and repair, and the beauty industry profits from those precious de-aging hours. But even night owls can benefit from nighttime skin care products that erase the telltale signs of the sleep-deprived: puffy eyes, dark circles, lifeless skin. I like to think my own mature epidermis knows of my superior time-management skills and equates "night" with "shuteye." Even when I'm up checking e-mail at 3 a.m., I can still take advantage of the time to de-age my face. Here are the six de-aging products I turn to whether I hit the sack at night (or not). 1. Like a Lycra bodyshaper, L'Oreal Paris Collagen Remodeler Contouring Moisturizer for Face and Neck Night ($20) isolates problem spots that sag – especially the jawline.
